Orforglipron ASCVD and Kidney Study

About this study

Do you suffer from Clinical Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease (ACVD)?

The purpose of this study is to measure cardiovascular outcomes with orforglipron compared with placebo in participants with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) and/or chronic kidney disease (CKD). Participation in the study will last about 5 years.

As a volunteer in a research study, you will receive personal study-related medical care from the study doctor and regular follow up on your ASCVD to monitor the effectiveness of the care you will receive. The results of this research will be used to find out if the experimental medication being studied will be of benefit to others with ASCVD or not. Study volunteers are an important part of moving medical care forward.

Who may qualify

You may qualify if

Have established ASCVD and/or CKD

This study may not be a fit if

Have type 1 diabetes
Have had a major heart condition within 60 days prior to screening
Have New York Heart Association Functional Classification Class IV heart failure

Every study has additional criteria the research site will review with you.

Participants who qualify for this study will receive a study-related health examination at no cost, as well as possible compensation for time and travel.

Informed consent before anything begins — questions welcome

Time commitment: ≈5 years — confirmed by the research site. The full visit schedule is explained during informed consent.
