Explore the research areas our network is actively studying. Choose a condition to see the studies currently recruiting for it, explained in plain, patient-friendly language.
Written in plain language, reviewed by physicians in our network.

Each condition has a plain-language guide covering what it is, the symptoms, how it is diagnosed and managed in Canada, and why research into it continues. Where studies are enrolling, the guide links to a page listing them and the cities they run in. The guides describe care in general terms and are not a substitute for advice from your own doctor.
A condition guide explains the condition itself: what it is, the symptoms, how it is diagnosed and managed in Canada, and why research into it continues. The trials page for the same condition lists the studies enrolling right now and where they are running. Each guide links to its trials page, and each trials page links back.
The guides are written in plain language for patients and families, drawn from Canadian sources such as Health Canada, Statistics Canada and the national condition charities. They describe general care, not advice for your situation, and they are not a substitute for talking to your own doctor.
Studies open and close continually. If nothing is enrolling for your condition today, the matching questionnaire takes about five minutes and flags anything related, and joining the community list means the research team can contact you when a study for that condition opens.
Usually yes for a condition-specific study, because the eligibility criteria are written around a confirmed diagnosis. Some studies also enrol healthy volunteers, and those are listed alongside the rest.
